Today on Mamamia the lovely Nat wrote about her signature fragrance, Ralph by Ralph Lauren. Nat’s looking to move on from the scent that she fell in love with while in high school, so she opened the comments to the MM community. And wow! So many fragrances! So many delicious recommendations!
So today, a short and sweet post: what’s your fragrance?
In the interest of disclosure I have three.
My signature fragrance:
Imagine a bouquet of bulgarian rose, and a gentle wave of mandarin, grapefruit and cassis, and a hint of vanilla. All of that together and you have Dolce & Gabbana Rose The One. In my opinion, the perfect fragrance. It’s my daily perfume of choice, a little spritz and I feel as beautiful and sensual as a rose. It makes me feel like a beautiful woman, though perhaps not as beautiful as Scarlett Johannson (the face of the fragrance). The bottle is nearly empty (again) so I’ll be making a trip to the shops for a replacement guaranteed.
The fragrance I go to when I have a hot date:
Miss Dior Cherie is a classic fragrance in a beautiful bottle. Truth is, it was the bottle that first drew me in. Who can resist a sweet bow? But this fragrance is so much more than that. When I wear this fragrance, I feel feminine and desirable. I can’t prove that it makes me more desirable, but I feel like it does! What makes Miss Dior Cherie so special is it’s uniqueness. It’s described as a blend of strawberry leaves, green mandarin, violette, pink jasmine and strawberry sorbet, which sounds a little odd, but combined they make a sweet, elegant fragrance. No wonder it’s so popular!
The fragrance I wear to lift my mood:
Gucci Flora is a recent addition to my collection as I received it for my birthday. Being a floral fragrance, it suits me to a tee. In case you couldn’t tell – I’m a girly girl! Flora reminds me of a Spring (my favourite season) and a spritz instantly makes me feel rejuvenated, as if I’m walking and watching flowers bloom in Spring. Plus, the fragrance was inspired by ‘Princesses of the past’ (I’m imagining Grace Kelly) and that suits me just fine. Who doesn’t want to smell like a Princess? The fragrance is classic and refined with peony, rose blended with Osmanthus flower, pink pepper, sandalwood and a hint of citrus. Yummy!
What’s your fragrance? Why do you love it?
